SHOP INFORMATION
Added 26/04/2023 - A RANGE OF EXIN SPARES ADDED TO THE SHOP!
Exin Castillos - I first became aware of Exin Castillos castle building sets way back when, as a child, I was given a set by a visitor from Spain. As a boy I had an intense interest in castles, dragging my parents all over the country to visit as many as possible. Needless to say, the Exin set went down very well! The specially moulded bricks allowed the construction of detailed model castles with none of the 'lumpy', stud covered, appearance of the competition like Lego. The special parts like drawbridges, battlements, and so on, and the little figures of ghosts, witches and the like added to the fun.
As it happens I have quite a stock of Exin parts which I've now added to the shop. I did a little research and I was quite astounded by the prices asked for these specialist bricks. The reason for this, I imagine, is that some of them were produced in relatively small numbers and are now quite rare. This is especially the case where only one or two of a particular brick were included in a set. I've done my best to price well below any other source. Search the shop for 'Exin' or 'Castillos' and all the parts should come up.
Added 07/03/2021 - NEWS & MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION.
Items without pictures - I have a large number of interesting and collectible items to add to the shop. Unfortunately, photographing them clearly takes quite a bit of time and it means I have quite a backlog. As a temporary measure I'm experimenting with the idea of adding as many listings as possible without pictures. I will add the pictures A.S.A.P. but, in the meantime, if any particular item interests you, please just message me. I will prioritise adding pictures to that item.
Added 06/11/2021 - MAKING ORIGINAL CATALOGUES AVAILABLE.
Original catalogues - I have, in my own collection, a number of original sales catalogues for various companies. These can be quite expensive items so I shall be experimenting with making these available as digital copies. First up is the Nomura catalogue from 1966. I will probably follow up with Mettoy, Yonezawa, Masudaya, Bandai, Fuji Press, Aoshin etc. Any comments add below.
Nomura Catalogue 1966 - Available 22/11/2021.
Asahi (ATC) Catalogue 1965 - Available 23/11/2021.
Mettoy Catalogue 1953 - In preparation.
Aoshin Catalogue 1968 - In preparation.
