Original vintage clockwork "Commodore Cruiser" manufactured by Sutcliffe Pressings Ltd., Horsforth, Leeds, England. Strictly speaking Sutcliffe boats are made from painted pressed steel rather than tin plate. Transfers are used to add details such as name etc. This is one of the larger Sutcliffe boats at 13.00 inches including rudder. Instructions for use are on the box.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up.
Action:- Simple clockwork boat with adjustable rudder.
Size:- box 12.50 x 4.50 x 3.00 inches approx.
Condition:- In very good condition. Working order. Appears new and unused. There is also some slight wear where the 'tiller' rubs against the body of the boat. Complete with plastic bung, mast, screen and flag. The box is in good condition with all flaps. There is some slight creasing in places and a price label mark on one side. See photos.
