Original vintage clockwork "Jupiter Ocean Pilot" manufactured by Sutcliffe Pressings Ltd., Horsforth, Leeds, England. Strictly speaking Sutcliffe boats are made from painted pressed steel rather than tin plate. Transfers are used to add details such as name etc. This is one of the smaller Sutcliffe boats at 10.00 inches including rudder. Instructions for use are on the box.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up.
Action:- Simple clockwork boat with adjustable rudder.
Size:- box 9.50 x 3.50 x 3.00 inches approx.
Condition:- In very good condition. Working order. Appears new and unused although there are some small imperfections due to age. There is also some slight wear where the 'tiller' rubs against the body of the boat. Complete with plastic bung, mast and key in original brown paper bag. The box is in good condition with all flaps.
