Vintage "Pick-Chick" from Masudaya, Japan. Early post-war tin toy marked "Made In Occupied Japan" (1947-52). With airbrushed rather than lithographed decoration.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.
Action:- Classic pecking bird novelty toy. The chick pecks the ground at the same as the loosely attached wings flap slightly with the movement.
Size:- 2.50 inches long approx. (from beak to tail feather).
Condition:- In very good condition. The box is a little battered but still intact. Please refer to photographs.
