Picnic Dog, Yonezawa, Japan.
Original vintage tin plate, plush/cloth covered "Picnic Dog" toy. Marked (labelled on base) with the Yonezawa trade mark (letter "Y" within a five petal cherry blossom motif) and "Made in Japan". In original box which is also marked Yonezawa. Lithographed tin plate face with plastic picnic basket and card "Vacation" sign.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.
Action:- Shuffles forward in comical fashion. The whole body section sways from side to side.
Size:- 6.00 inches high approx.
Condition:- In excellent condition. Working order. Both toy and box are very fresh and clean. It appears to be ex shop stock but I can't confirm that.
