Speed Boat & Harbour Patrol Boat / Jet Racer 8 Speed Boat, Mitsuhashi, Japan.
Original vintage clockwork "Speed Boat" manufactured by Mitsuhashi, Japan. Both toy and box are marked with the Mitsuhashi trade mark. The box is an either/or box suitable for either the Speed Boat (Jet Racer 8, as here) or the similar "Harbour Patrol Boat". It has a similar mechanism to many Yoshiya toys i.e., handle wound flywheel.
Mechanism:- Wind-Up flywheel motor.
Action:- Simple toy boat with adjustable rudder.
