Vintage Hawkins Tiffee Teasmade, Model L.G.H. 1500.
Vintage Hawkins Tiffee teasmade. Manufactured by L.G. Hawkins & Co. Ltd, England. This model was introduced in 1952. It's a basic model as it doesn't have a clock or a light. When it's switched on it will boil the water in the kettle. Steam pressure then forces the boiling water out through the spout and into a waiting teapot. As the kettle gets lighter it activates the mechanical see-saw mecanism, on which the kettle sits, which switches off the element and switches on a loud buzzer. Originally advertised with the slogan "Hawkins Tiffee - Tea In A Jiffy". It cost around £3.00 at the time.

Condition:- In very good condition cosmetically (see photos). Appears to have been little used. Tested and found to be in working order. Kettle boils and buzzer works. The flex is original and in remarkably good condition. Sold as a collectable only and not for day to day use.
