Original tin plate 'Helicopter' produced for Marx, Great Britain (in Hong Kong) for the British market. Marked with the older British version of the Marx trade mark and 'Empire Made'. Pre 1970. In original colourful box.
n.b. This is the army version, there were several other versions available which may be either friction drive or battery operated.
Mechanism:- Friction drive.
Action:- Push along with spinning rotor.
Size:- 9.00 inches approx. with main rotor fitted.
Condition:- In very good condition. The toy doesn't appear to have been played with. The parts which are not lithographed (plain silver) are a little tarnished. The rubber fitting that holds the main rotor is a bit loose. The colourful box is in pretty good condition but there is one area of damage that has been repaired (my repair using gummed brown paper tape/picture framers tape, water soluble adhesive, can be removed if required).
