Jet Propulsion Boat, Vintage Pop Pop Boat, Fairylite, Great Britain.
Jet Propulsion Boat made by (or more likely for) Fairylite. As far as I know Fairylite were an importer and distributor rather than a manufacturer. Complete with fuel (candle) packet / fuel holder. Constructed from painted pressed steel rather than tin plate I think. A simple but very rare boat with an even rarer box. Dates to the 1950's or possibly early 1960's.
Mechanism:- Steam / pop pop motor.
Action:- Steam powered boat.
Size:- 7.00 inches long approx. (including rudder).
Condition:- In good condition. Looks like it may have been run once judging by a slight scorch mark in one place Please refer to photos. The box is in pretty good condition but I have reattached the end flaps (with gummed paper - removable if you want to make repairs via another method - just moisten to remove).
