U.S.A. M-35 Tank, Alps/Mitomo, Japan.
Original large vintage tin plate "M-35 Tank" toy from the 1960's. Marked with both the Alps and Mitomo trade marks and "Made in Japan". No box.
Mechanism:- Friction drive with shell firing mechanism.
Action:- Simple push friction drive with rotatable turret and shell firing action. Shells stored in rear compartment with lid. Detachable transparent barrel.
Size:- 13.00 inches long approx. including barrel.
Condition:- The toy is in working order with some light play wear and age patina. Please refer to photographs. The detachable barrel and shell compartment lid are still present. The barrel does have some cracks and stress marks. There are still two shells in the shell compartment. It looks like there may have been a sparking mechanism on the front of the tank and some sort of rotating fitting on the front right 'mudguard'. Overall, reasonably good condition. Could be improved with some careful cleaning.
