Swimming Goldfish, Lenin Memorial Factory, USSR.
Original vintage tin plate Swimming Fish novelty. Both box and toy are marked with the logo for the Lenin Memorial Factory, Moscow. I'm not quite sure what material this is made from. It may be tin plate but it's difficult to tell as the toy is weighted to allow it to sit in the water correctly. Hand painted rather than lithographed. Quite a rare toy.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up. Separate key.
Action:- Clockwork motor flips the tail from side to side to propel the toy through water.
Size:- 8 1/4 inches long approx.
Condition:- In very good condition, appears unused. The box is also in good condition. Please refer to photographs. Key missing.
