Bubble Gun, DAIYA, Japan.
Original vintage 1960's tin plate "Bubble Gun" toy in original box. Made in Japan and marked with the DAIYA trade mark on both toy and box. Complete with original detergent bottle and instructions.
Mechanism:- Hand operated via trigger.
Action:- The trigger operates a fan inside the toy which produces bubbles by blowing a jet of air through an aperture which is covered by a film of detergent (washing up liquid etc.). The detergent is held in the plastic front section of the gun. A small plastic blade rotates, dipping into the detergent and coating the aperture repeatedly. In this way a constant stream of bubbles is produced.
Size:- box 5.75 x 4.50 x 2.50 inches approx.
Condition:- In very good condition. Please refer to photographs. The gun itself is in almost mint condition and is in working order. The original detergent bottle is still in the box but has either been used or has leaked. There is a mark on the inside of the lower box at one point which is probably a result of this but it is quite minor.
