Hopping Rabbit with Carrot, Yoneya, Japan.
Original vintage tinplate hopping 'Rabbit with Carrot' novelty toy from the 1950''s or early 60's. I'm not sure of the original name for this toy as I haven't seen a boxed example. Marked "SY" within a concentric diamond / lozenge as well as "Made in Japan'. Quite large for a novelty toy with an amusing action. Complete with carrot which is often missing from this toy.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.
Action:- Classic hopping action.
Size:- 6.00 inches high approx.
Condition:- With some ageing and play-wear but overall quite reasonable condition. Please refer to photographs. No box.
