Mechanical Bird / Flapping Love Bird, Yoneya, Japan.
Original vintage tin plate "Mechanical Bird" novelty toy. Marked with the Yoneya trade mark (YONE within a diamond). Manufacturer No. 2074. Dates to the late 1960's / early 1970's I would guess. It's not marked with the ST mark so probably pre 1971. Slightly earlier examples found in non window boxes are named 'Flapping Love Bird'. The box is multipurpose and could be used for any one of three different toys. All tin plate including the wings / tail feathers.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.
Action:- Moves forward with wings flapping.
Size:- 9.00 inch wingspan approx.
Condition:- In very good condition, pretty much as new. The box is in good condition with some light wear and tear but no damage.
