Paddle Boat No. 70, Wells-Brimtoy Distributors Ltd.
Original vintage tin plate 'Paddle Boat', manufactured by Wells-Brimtoy Ltd. Introduced in 1936. Marked "Made in Great Britain" The catalogue number is "No 70".
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up. Fixed Key, wound via the flag.
Action:- Clockwork boat powered via paddle wheels rather than propeller. Adjustable rudder. It will also run along the ground although I'm not sure this was intended.
Size:- 11.00 inches long approx.
Condition:- In remarkably good condition for a pre WW II toy, with perhaps very slight play wear with one small area of chipping on the deck, towards the stern. No rust, so I doubt it's been in the water. See photos.
