Playful Animal Swing, Yoneya, Japan.
Original vintage tin plate "Playful Animal Swing" novelty toy. Marked with the older Yoneya trade mark (S.Y. within two concentric diamonds). Dates to the late 1950's / early 1960's I believe.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.
Action:- The animals (bear and dog I think) swing from side to side. They are arranged so that they come partially out of their seats as they move. Their arms also swing backwards and forwards with the movement. The counter weight, which is a metal bell on a length of wire, swings overhead (when present).
Size:- 5.25 inches high approx.
Condition:- This is a renovation project. The toy is in good condition but is not working. It is also missing the counter weight. Fortunately the counter weight is a bell rather than a tin plate pressing so it should be quite easy to find a replacement. No box.
