Walking Tortoise, Nakayama / Ishizuka, Japan.

Original vintage tin plate "Tortoise" toy from the early 1970's. Marked with both the Nakayama and Ishizuka trade marks and also "Made in Japan". In original box which is  marked with the ST (Safety Toy) mark, introduced 1971. Very nicely made with amusing action. All tin plate apart from the tail.

Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.

Action:- Walking mechanism. Very convincing walking action plus head sways from side to side.  

Size:- 6.00 inches long approx. including tail.

Condition:- The toy is in excellent condition, working order, old shop stock. The box is also in very good condition. Please refer to photographs.
